How idiomatic is this text, and what are its connotations:
We'll see Coldplay in concert next weekend. Jon's getting the tickets tonight.
Can it be rephrased as
"Ok, I have just decided that we will see Coldplay in concert next weekend. Jon doesn't know it yet, but he is getting the tickets tonight whether he likes it or not."
or
"I am sure we will definitely see Coldplay in concert next weekend. Jon doesn't know it yet, but he will have to get the tickets tonight whether he likes it or not."
