Is the italic sentence natural?

Were you admitted into the hospital now?

Context: Yan is a friend of mine, and I saw him a few days ago at a local English club. We hadn’t seen each other for quite a while. While we were catching up, he told me that he would be hospitalized for meniscus surgery. I was sorry to hear that and asked him when (he would be admitted to the hospital). He said that next week he would stay in the hospital for two days so the doctors could evaluate whether he was fit for surgery. If everything went well, he would then remain in the hospital for the operation. Today, I texted him to ask about it again and to find out whether he had been admitted, because if he had, I wanted to go to the hospital and visit him. I asked him the above question.

Change "into" to "to", and "now" to "today".
Otherwise, you can use "... just now" to indicate slight surprise.

He told me that he would be hospitalized for needs meniscus surgery soon. I said I was sorry to hear that and asked him when the surgery would be. (he would be admitted to the hospital).

He said that next week the following week he would need to stay in the hospital for two days so the doctors could evaluate whether he was fit for surgery.

If everything went well, he would then remain in the hospital for the operation. Today, I texted him to ask about it again and to find out whether he had been admitted, because if he had, I wanted to go to the hospital and visit him. I asked him the above question. what was happening because I wanted to visit him if he'd been admitted for surgery.
I'm confused about the timeline here. You said you met up with him a few days ago. Let's say you met him on Wednesday and he said "Next week, I'll be in hospital for a couple of days for evaluation before meniscus surgery". It's now only Saturday so "next week" hasn't started yet. On that basis, I can't work out why you texted him today somehow thinking that he could already be in hospital.

Anyway, logic aside, please note my changes above. There was a lot of unnecessary text so I've tidied it up above.
