What are these called? "Grass"? How can I describe them?

Is this okay?

Grass had risen up between the cobble stones.

It's grass but I wouldn't use "risen up".

Grass is growing between the cobbles/cobblestones. Some of them might be weeds, of course.
 
Perhaps it's the limited resolution on the little screen of my phone, but it looks more like moss than grass to me.
 
Those are more likely to be weeds growing through (the crevices of) the cobblestone pavement.

I blew up the part alpacinou circled as much as I could. The green could be moss, grass or weeds, or possibly a mixture of all three. growing between the cobbles/cobblestones.
