What do you call those who hold non-medical doctorate degrees?
Doctors or professors?

Thanks Billmcd but what do you mean by philosophy?
A one may hold a doctorate degree in Maths, biology....etc not only philosophy.
 
PhD is the highest degree one can earn and applies to graduates in a wide array of disciplines in the sciences and humanities not only philosophy.
 
If you have a doctorate, you can use 'Doctor' as a title. There are considerable differences from country to country in the definition of professor
