Someone probably from Poland made a video. I don't understand the last part. Who is a snowflake?

I don't want to offend anyone, I just watched the video and only want to understand. I found this video on one of the social network websites. This is only a question about the meaning of "a snowflake". If it violates the rules, please remove it.

A very fragile person (they meltdown easily). A snowflake needs to be protected from thoughts and ideas that they find objectionable or dangerous.

Snowflake in this sense is very common in current American English, mrwoc.

You should also know that it's a derogatory term.

We use it in the UK for our delicate people, especially those easily offended online. It's not a compliment in the UK either.

The question in the title of this thread is ungrammatical.

What does it mean that someone is a snowflake?

Nowadays, eveyone believes they're unique, the world needs to treat them differently, and the rules that apply to everyone else shouldn't apply to them because they're not like everyone else.

Calling someone a snowflake is calling them this kind of person. My guess is that it comes from the stereotype about millennials and gen Z, that they generally behave like unfit for adult life children.

An early example would be when some colleges made "safe spaces" for the students (legal adults) to engage with puppies and coloring books if they were emotionally distraught over an election result.

Did the puppies get a say in the matter?
