[Idiom] What does "through the ghost" probably mean?

here below is the full sentence for your reference

did you hide yourself away? are you leaving through the ghost?

I'm not quite sure if it means "are you running away without saying a word?"or something like this...

There are two sentences now, before there were none. "Are you leaving through the ghost?" means nothing at all to me.
