I'm having trouble understanding what he's going to do at 7:10
what I hear is "change my wall", without the 'll', and then he's gonna grab a couple of sets of "mitch press"(?)
then he comes back to the thing that he's going to change at 8:10
they must be both mechanical terms for something in a car, the second seems to me like a tool.

I'm not sure whether he's going to change his wall - the backdrop - change his will - desire - or change his oil. He does seem like a tool, though.

I'm gonna change my oil ….

… a couple of sets of bench press ….

Even a few seconds' listening to him made me feel dirty.

Really? Are you sure?

I think it's oil. That's what it sounds like, and that makes more sense.

Plus, he says rotate my tyres. Yes, it's definitely change my oil.

You're absolutely right, he says change my oil. I deeply regret my error because through a horrible chain of events, it led me to listen to more of that poor excuse for a human's screed.

I nearly deleted the link on the grounds that his words almost amount to hate speech against women. The only reason I didn't was that Tdol had let it stand.

Learners: by all means listen to how he speaks. But pay no attention to what he says. His accent (oal for oil, pedestool) is what one begins to hear soon after heading south and west from Chicago along the path of old Route 66.

I would wholeheartedly support deleting the link and indeed, this entire thread. It's part of a web that could guide someone towards adopting the vlogger's misogynist philosophy.

Cleanup completed.

I pray to God that his overt misogyny is a boring and pathetic attempt at humour, but I find it incredible that a man who looks to be in his thirties would find this amusing.

I let it stand because the question was about language, which is legitimate for the forum, and, frankly, he is such an idiot that the best antiseptic is exposure to daylight.

Oh, I don't think he was joking at all. He was seriously trying to impart his "wisdom" to other men. Good riddance to him. I wish Youtube would clean itself up.

I haven't heard pumping and dumping or pumping and humping before. Would it be OK to use this expression as an intention of starting a relationship with a fine young lady?

I think you know the answer to that question.

I just read your previous responses. Obviously it is not appropiate in your view. However, I wonder if as slang it's fine.

Pumping and dumping is the opposite of starting a relationship. It's a nasty, crude way to say you plan to persuade a girl to have sex with you and then abandon her.

Pump and dump is mainly used in the world of investing. Scammers purchase quantities of worthless unlisted company shares, so-called penny stocks. They then begin calling people who may have money to invest, but who are unsophisticated financially. Doctors and dentists are frequent targets. Victims are lured into buying the stocks by greed and the promise of easy profits. (You've got to get in right away. This won't last.) As the dupes buy the stocks their price rises, enabling the scammers to sell at a profit.

The technique is called pump and dump, and the premises from which the scammers operate are called boiler rooms.

Maybe so, but that's not the way the person in the video is using it.

No doubt you are right. I didn't even wstch the whole video, and now that it's gone from our site I never will.

I watched enough to feel dirty — maybe 90 seconds' worth. That was far more than enough.

I just checked and I'm glad to report the video is no longer on Youtube, or at least not under its original name.
