[Vocabulary] what is "lanugo"?

Hey guys

Does anyone know what "laguno" mean?
I googled it but couldn't find an answer.

I read it in a book, the author was talking about her new born child.
Her husband was holding the baby in the delivery room.
Here's the complete sentence:
"He kissed our son's forehead still coverd in laguno."

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Lanugo (/la·nu·go/,[1] from Latin lana "wool") is very fine, soft, and usually unpigmented, downy hair as can be found on the body of a fetus or newborn baby. Source :wikipedia

Just out of interest, did you (odilonredon) swap the g and the n, or was it in the original text?

Incidentally, I imagine this word is related to Fr laine Sp/It/Pg lana (and indeed the less common English word 'lanolin').
