Hello

Is there a verb to describe what the man doing in this picture?

I know he is holding her face and kissing her but is there a specific verb to describe holding the face in that manner? I remember once in a movie I heard an expression like cupping or something like that but I googled it and it was wrong.

I remember something like cupping face but I checked and there is no such expression.

It's entirely possible to "cup someone's face" in your hands (in BrE) but I wouldn't say that's what he's doing in that picture.

What would you say he is doing in this painting?

I suppose you could say he's fondling her face, but her head's at such an unnatural angle he's in danger of breaking her neck.

Would cradling apply here? It is an odd position.
