Hello,

What is the meaning of 'mid-morning of his career' in the following sentence? Does it mean 'beginning of his career' or something close to that?

"The story is an exemplar – of how so many of Wodehouse’s particular talents were near fullness in this mid-morning of his career, but also of how characters can escape a writer’s initial imagination to find their own, roaring life."

Thank you

My guess would be that it was early in his career as mid-morning is early in the day.

OK. I will include the author's name in future. In this case, the author's name is "Samanth Subramanian". I just have a doubt about whether the author may be known outside India. I myself have not heard of this author before. I would have included the article itself, but I vaguely remember that we are not supposed to copy the entire article here. (Don't remember if it was in the posting rules, or it was in one of the replies.)
