Hi, I would like to consult on: what're - is it a proper or an accepted contraction in the English language? Or even acceptable as a slang?

I have heard/seen who're and how're being used and they are also in some online dictionaries. They come up more often in web searches too. However, are these actually accepted and considered to be more accepted than what're?

Incidentally, nothing is acceptable as 'a slang'. Or, to put it another way 'a slang' is not acceptable. ;-)
