[Grammar] When I get to there

Is it correct to say "when I get TO there"? (I have always thought that you only can say "when I get there".)
 
If you're going to use the word "there", then don't use "to". If the final word is the name of a place, then use "to".

When I get there, I'll phone you.
When I get to London, I'll phone you.
