2. is definitely correct

1. is more debatable. You might hear it in informal speech but it's less acceptable in writing. However, where 2 or more singular subjects together make a plural (as here) and the subjects are far apart, then a singular might sound more natural because the plural subject is not apparent to the reader, so:

'Attached is the Check Register, which lists all those items concerned as well as ...., the Balance by Benefit Report, ...'

Compare 'there is/there are' - would you say:

'There's still an orange and banana in the fruit bowl.'

or

'There are still an orange and banana in the fruit bowl.'?

and would you write:

'There is still an orange and a banana in the fruit bowl.'

or

There are still an orange and a banana in the fruit bowl.'?
