Hi, everyone. I know the bold is correct, but I feel it isn't good style. Could you make it better?
Once passing the security checkpoints, passengers will see some shops, which don’t exist now.

Thanks. If I use 'security' instead of 'security checkpoints', do I still need the definite article?

You can't see things that aren't there.

The plan shows shops after passengers have passed through security. These shops are not there yet.
 
I think it is strange to say you will see things which are not there.
 
Not if you are discussing the expansion IMO.
