This is a diary entry. Please point out any mistakes and offer corrections.

Since I can't sleep because I'm waiting for my roommates' delivery guys to arrive. I'll take this time to write a diary entry. A while ago, while I was arranging the mugs, I heard a sound, it sounded like someone was knocking on our window. I ignored it and continued what I was doing not until I saw something outside the window an image. At first, I thought someone was trying to peek inside through the window. I only saw black, and I thought it was a hair; the image was going down, as if hiding from me. I ignored it again and went back to what I was doing. After few minutes, I heard a knocking sound again. 🙂 then I looked up to see what that is, only to see a little bird knocking on the window. 😂😭and then I waited for it to do the knocking again, but it stopped. Maybe it's enough for the bird to get my attention and finally see who did it, but to be honest, it scared me that I didn't want to continue placing the mugs on the drying rack, scared that I might drop and break them.

Also, a classmate told me it's kind of similar to a scene in a Disney movie called Enchanted and said it's a must-watch.

The first two sentences should be one sentence.

I would probably say the bird was "rapping" on the window or "tapping" on the window, but "knocking" is not terrible.

Thanks! I never knew that word. Now that you've mentioned it, I just realized "knocking" is not the word.

Have you read "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe? He uses both "rapping" and "tapping".

I haven't. I'll read them in my free time. If I still remember.

It's not a "them". It's a poem -- a very famous one. The writer (Poe) is mourning the loss of his sweetheart. The raven shows up seemingly to remind him of why he's so depressed. (At some point he probably wants to kill that bird. 😊)
