"Whose laptop is it? How nice!"

"Whose laptop is it? How nice!"
As I know, "how nice" is short for "how nice the laptop it is!" Do you collocate "nice" with "laptop" or "computer"? I just think the use of how nice is odd. Do you think so? Thanks!
 
It's okay, but sounds like the first person is showing it to a second person. Otherwise the first person to notice it would say "Whose laptop is this?"' The phrase 'How nice' is also ok.

'Nice' collocates with most nouns, although I suppose there must be some unnatural collations using 'nice'.

For example, I'm having trouble thinking of a situation where 'nice happiness' would work.
