1. What does "wild" here mean? "exciting" or "enthusiastic"?
2. What does "peck at" mean? "peck" is an action done by a beak of a bird, but can it also be used for other objects like fingers?

"Wild" here means the most imaginative or fantastic dream that you can imagine. Wild as in free, liberated, not constrained.

Yes, you can peck at things with your fingers. And it's a "wax" seal.
 
I'd say "pick at" rather than "peck at".
