[Grammar] With or without preposition ‘to’

There are two sentences:
She told the children not to go near the canal.
And
The hotel is near to the beach.
Can I say:
She told the children not to go near to the canal.
And
The hotel is near the beach.
 
Both sentences are more natural without 'to', though not incorrect.
