THE FATE OF FAUSTO

This story was written by Oliver Jeffers in 2015.
The art for this book was made at Idem Press in Paris using traditional lithography press during the summer of 2018.

Design by Rory Jeffers and David Pearson
Marbling for endpapers made by Jemma Lewis
With special thanks to Hayley Nichols, and to Mar saikusa and Martin Giffard of Idem Press

-------
For the blue parts, can I take them to mean:

1. (The) Design (of the book) by Rory Jeffers and David Pearson

2. (The) Marbling for endpapers made by Jemma Lewis

3. (This book can be written)
With special thanks to Hayley Nichols, and to Mar saikusa and Martin Giffard of Idem Press

Of them, I am not sure about (3).

What do you think?

Try "The author presents this book to the public" for your parenthetical remark in number 3.

I really don't see the point of these exercises. Just read the text and try to feel its author's intent.

Right, and even the added text in green doesn't make the first two grammatical (complete) sentences. I agree with GS about the third.

Thank you both. :)

The third is a hard one for me. I often see "With special thanks to XXX" at the end of a book, movie, game, etc. But I didn't know how to understand this phrase as a complete meaningful unit. Now I know it can mean something like:

The author(s)/We/I present(s) this book/movie/game to the public with special thanks to XXX.

If you don't mind, I would like to say:

I
present this understanding to the public with special thanks to GoesStation.

You'll sometimes see statements like this in the end credits of a film:

The producers would like to thank the prefecture and residents of the city of Lyon for their gracious assistance. Book acknowledgements are usually much less verbose.

Very few people read those things.
