1) My institute is worse.

2) My institute is worsen than other two institutes.

3) My institute is one of the worst institutes.

4) My institute is the worst among all the institutes.

Are my sentences correct? Could you please tell me where I need to use "Worse" and where I need to use "Worst" or "Worsen"? I am very confused.

Look up "worsen" in a dictionary. Is it a comparative?

Tufguy, worse is a comparative.

The word worsen is a verb, not an adjective.

Two out of four.

"My Institute is worse" can be correct depending on what came before. Example:

Bob: My Institute is bad.
Sally: My Institute is worse.

(What you mean by "Institute" there is beyond me.)

What about my sentences?

1, 3, and 4 are OK. Number 2 uses an incorrect word and is missing an article. It also repeats a noun, something you should avoid. Fix the two errors and post that sentence for review. Then, try to write a revised version that doesn't repeat the noun.

You can put both of these sentences into a single post if you number them.

Post #5 was specifically a comment on sentence #1.

Also, we might say something has worsened if it was bad to begin with. For example, if a person has pneumonia and his condition worsens that person is in bad shape.

I'm still wondering what you mean by 'institute'.

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. By institute I mean a commercial place where you take classes in regard to a particular subject or thing like Maths, science, personal trainer. Like an NIIT institute.

That's a school. And I am pretty sure that "personal trainer" is not a subject. (MIT?)

You can train to be a personal trainer at several colleges near me. Of course, it's only available as an adult education class; it's not on the curriculum for normal school or college students.

Yes, but is the course called "personal trainer"?

A quick glance at a variety of courses available shows some are called "Personal Trainer" and some "Personal Training".

Training to be a Personal Trainer?
