I was at a restaurant with my friend. If I want to know what kind of beer he wants to drink, and there are two. One is cold one and the other is not cold but on average temperature. Is my sentene natural?

Would you like a chilled beer or a room temperature one?

That's more natural.

Real ale (bitter, stout etc) is always served at room temperature, although some people like a cold Guinness. Lager is served cold.

If your friend has already indicated that he wants beer, there's no need for such a long question.

You: What do you want to drink?
Friend: Beer, please.
You: Cold or room temperature?
Friend: Cold, please.

To be honest, it would be more natural to ask exactly what kind of beer they want, or even the brand. Most people have a favourite.

I only like it cold if it's a lager. With a good ale or stout or porter, the flavor doesn't come out if it's cold.

(Lager's flavor comes out at room temp, too, but with lager, that's no improvement. Yuck! The colder, the better!)

You obviously haven't tried English beer! I guarantee I could find plenty you'd like. ;-)

I've tried several and haven't found one I like. I'm just not a beer/ale/stout etc fan. I like cold, sparkling lager (or, as my friend who's a member of CAMRA would say "witch p*ss!)

This world can be unjust. You must remember that there's still much to live for. ;-)

There's snow in England right now. And since my boiler has broken down for the third time in a week, there isn't any difference between a chilled beer and a room temperature one for me!
