I have to write a paragraph for class and my teacher is highly unavailable . I was wondering if it needed a title. Because he said essays must have a title. But I don't know about paragraphs, he didn't specify.

When I say my teacher is highly unavailable means he doesn't return my calls, never provided me an email and doesn't have adequate office hours. There isn't class next week so I can't get a hold of him for 2 weeks. I need help and clarification to complete my assignment.

I don't think anybody here can tell you what your teacher wants.

You're right my teacher is quite droll. He should be more clear. In my syllabus he says "review comma usage in the Fiat Lux". I looked it up and I still don't know what he means

As far as I can determine, Fiat Lux is a poem that can be found on the Internet. If that is the assignment, I would do that. In this case, I would provide a title: Comma Usage in Fiat Lux.

Does a paragraph require or deserve a title? Should it be treated as an essay?

You cannot say "highly unavailable"
You can say: My teacher not available most of the time. My teacher is very inaccessible. My teacher is very difficult to get.

not a teacher

It's Latin for "let there be light". I'm assuming he's referring to the text book or the back of the Dictionary. Nonetheless his instruction is cryptic.

A paragraph could have a title. That does not make it an essay.

I'm only writing a paragraph.

The lack of direction is causing me to lose study time. It is hard typing replies on my I phone.

Then shut off your phone.
