This is a diary entry. Please point out any mistakes and offer corrections.

Yesterday, while doing one of the most mundane tasks, which is doing the laundry, a sudden thought came into my mind: "home sweet home." Then I was curious if there's home sweet home when going home, what about when going to school (well, there's "welcome back to school" that's only at the beginning) or going to work?

By now, I know the readers are cringing.

Well, it's a sentiment. Since we spend so much time there we tend to be rather fond of home. (There's a saying, "Home is where the heart is.)

I wouldn't say "Welcome back to school" is in the same category. It's a greeting more than anything.

Alright. I now get it, it's just that I thought they're in the same category since they're both used to welcoming someone back.

Thank you for pointing that out.

I don't understand the underlined part.

In our school, there are posters everywhere saying “welcome back to school” every start of the school year. I'm sorry if that was confusing.

Okay, that's at the beginning of a school year, not the beginning of school.

Yesterday, while doing one of the most mundane household tasks, which is doing the laundry, a sudden thought phrase suddenly came into my mind: "Home sweet home". Then I was curious That made me wonder - if there's we say "Home sweet home" when going getting/arriving home, what about do we say when going to arriving at school?

(well, I know there's "Welcome back to school" but that's used only at the beginning of the school year. or Is there a similar phrase about going to work?
Note my corrections above. There's no similar phrase to "Home sweet home" to refer to school or work. Don't forget that "Home sweet home" doesn't just refer to arriving home having been away - it's also used simply to say "I love being in my home".
By now, I know the readers are cringing.
Why do you think that?

Why do you think that?
Because when I get older and read this, I will be cringing, and I only realize things if they're cringeworthy or not is when I get back to them after a long time, I'd be like, I can't believe I wrote this and I feel like that's how the readers, or maybe some would feel.

Because when I get older and read this, I will be cringing, and I only realize THAT THINGS ARE CRINGEWORTHY WHEN I LOOK AT them after a long time HAS PASSED.
