Hi guys,

If somebody calls me and says "Can I speak to Naval(thats me)". So can I say "Yes you are speaking to"?

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Mona: May I speak with Naval?

Naval: 1. Speaking. 2. This is Naval. 3. You're speaking with him. 4. This is him. 5. This is he. 6. Who is this?

TheParser speaks AmE.

In BrE, 'Can I speak to Naval?' and 'You're speaking to him' are just fine.

So, "Yes you are speaking to" is not correct.

I normally say "Speaking" or "This is he".

I say "That's me".
