[Idiom] You don't say so!

Is You don't say so! (exprerssing surprise) considered to be dated in modern English? If yes, what similar phrases can be used to express surprise (besides Wow!)
 
I don't consider it dated. (It is probably more often used without the so at the end.) One other possibility:

That's a new one on me.

:)
 
I think of it (and "You don't say!") as dated. In the U.S., we might say:

- Really?
- You're kidding!
- No kidding?
- Wow.
- No way!
- Stop it! (Slang.)
- Word! (Slang.)
 
Get out!
Shut up! (only with good friends who would understand you were being playful)
