Hi all,

Which is the right way of expression this thought? If both are ok, is there any difference between the implied meaning of each?

1) Every calorie you burn is a calorie you lose.
2) Every calorie you burn is a calorie you've lost.

Thanks in advance

You can say either of those. You can also say, "Every calorie burned (burnt) is a calorie lost."

One doesn't really lose a calorie that is burnt. One utilizes it for heat or energy.
