I want to know the difference between these two

You work hard to get the floor clean.
&

It seems causative but i am not sure or maybe it is a strange use of "get" please explain. Thanks

It's not strange at all. It's the same "get" as in "Get it done!" or many similar constructions.

'Get' is used in a variety of constructions with a meaning close to do something or have something done.

Here are some examples:

I must get my hair cut.
I'll try to get my report finished tonight.
Can you get Mr Johnson's room ready, please?
Jo managed to get my printer working again.
We finally got the door to open.
