I want to know the difference between these two

You work hard to get the floor clean.
&
You work hard to clean the floor.

It seems causative but i am not sure or maybe it is a strange use of "get" please explain. Thanks

This suggests that the person himself/herself is doing the cleaning.

It's not strange at all. It's the same "get" as in "Get it done!" or many similar constructions.
