Your tea is getting cold.

Your tea is losing warmth.
Northing is wrong with the first sentence, get cold in here means "become cold". Your tea's gone cold.

I feel like that no one uses "grow+v1-er" form anymore. Has it become out-dated or do I incidentially not come across it? Or am I mistaken that "get+v1" form is not the same thing as "grow+v1-er". I'll be happy to receive responces on whether I'm right or not.
