the meaning of the Betty Crocker Clinic

In an episode of "Sex and the City", Miranda Hobbs cannot stop eating sweets, she decides to throw the cake but picks up some of it out of the garbage bin and eats it. Then calls Carrie, her friend, and says,

“Your good friend has just taken a piece of cake out of the garbage and eaten it. You will probably need this information when you check me into the Betty Crocker Clinic."

I suppose Betty Crocker Clinic means over-eater. No?

In the US there is a rather famous band of cake mixes called Betty Crocker. I suppose the last line is a play on the name Betty Crocker and a rehab clinic (where someone goes to be treated for an addiction).

Gillnetter is correct. The rehab center is called the Betty Ford Clinic.
