Heh Heh...yes I stand corrected. What I should have said is that condole is not a word that I would use in everyday language. In fact, it is to me so rarely used in isolation that I would not consider it as a word. I cannot ever remember in my 55 years or so on this earth having used it or heard it in use. Condolence on the other hand is comfortable to my ears. I think (and I stand to be corrected again) that if you use condole as suggested then it would be a signal that, whilst you are speaking English it is from a non-native perspective.

However, as I said, I stand to be corrected.
