Save it for conversation with the lads in the pub!
"The common Cormorant, or Shag,
Lays its eggs in a paper bag".....
Other than that, I have no idea to what you are referring. ;-)
Tip: Always make sure the cooker is turned off.
Mmm, I assume it only means then what it means:lol::lol::lol:
By the way, it's from Bill Bryson's book Notes from a Small Island:
"Among the many terms new to me were 'dirty weekend', 'loo', 'complete pillock', 'au pair', 'semi-detached house', 'shirt-lifter' and 'swift shag against the cooker', all of which have proved variously useful since."
:-D
Dirty weekend - When a couple books a hotel room, often in another town, for the weekend, for the purposes of sex.Quote:
"Among the many terms new to me were 'dirty weekend', 'loo', 'complete pillock', 'au pair', 'semi-detached house', 'shirt-lifter' and 'swift shag against the cooker', all of which have proved variously useful since."
"The businessman told his wife he had a sales meeting, but it was really a dirty weekend with his secretary"
loo - The toilet, WC, etc.
complete pillock - Total idiot, utter moron etc.
shirt lifter - Homosexual. It is assumed the shirt is long enough to require lifting prior to entry. (can be offensive)
au pair - Nanny
swift shag against the cooker - Short duration sex whilst leaning against the cooker.
Thanks a lot!
"Loo" is a word I've known for a long time, but I was surprised to hear that it's a BE word.
Still I can't imagine how "a swift shag against the COOKER" might have become a fixed expression. Why not a computer desk or even a lamppost instead??:-D
