Though Winnebago is originally a name for a Native American people, the name has been appropriated by Winnebago Industries -- a company that manufactures motor homes.

Thus, "the wall of the Winnebego" would appear to be "the wall of a motor home" (made by Winnegego Industries).

Thanks monty and charlie, I hadn't realized, or had forgotten, it was a First Nation name.

I didn't know either that it was a First Nations name. I remember though, reading an article about the company years ago in the Reader's Digest. It was called, I think, "The town of millionaires."

Apparently when the company was started, sales were really, really slow. So, the owners of the company asked employees to invest. Many invested $1,000. just so that they would still have a job, and never told their families about it. Then the whole RV revolution took off, and the original investors became quite wealthy.

Martin loved his Winnebago, but Niles did not love it as much.
This is ironic understatement. It usually means that Niles (another character on the TV show) detested the Winnebago.
