A man joined our online group and he turned out to be someone I met a month ago in a speech competition. He doesn't remember who I am but I do. Then I tried to help me to ring a bell. When I was trying to remind him of what happened that night and what I did, I made up many stories which are true but a bit funny and exaggerated.

Is it natural to call myself a "tale spinner"? Is it natural to say "I'm a good tale spinner"?

It's fine. You could also say you're a good storyteller or a raconteur.
