Hi,

Which one is correct:
1- Every one of us is fallible.
2- Every one of us are fallible.

vs

1- Every one of us has a unique identity.
2- Every one of us have a unique identity.

When I conducted a google search, for "every one of us is", I got ca 13 million hits vs 5 million for "every one of us are", leading me to believe that the phrase is regarded singular. However I got about 44 million google hits for "every one of us have" vs ca 7 million for "every one of us has", as if "every one of us" in now plural. So how is the case?

Thank you in advance!

In both cases #1 is correct.
