Could I say "If I had been 'verb-ing'" even the verb has its own past participle?

"If I had been been knowing you were coming, I would have baked a cake for you."

or

"If I had known you were coming, I would have baked a cake for you."

Your first version doesn't work, because the verb 'know' is not used in the progressive form.

Yea, I found it doesn't make sense after I changed it to present perfect:

"I have been knowing you since you kid"
 
Could I say "If I had been 'verb-ing'" even the verb has its own past participle?
'If I had been working hard, I would have had an opportunity for promotion.'
Does this example make sense?

Not a teacher.
 
"If I had worked..." is much more natural.
