Are the following sentences correct and they have same grammatical meaning?

If I were a doctor I would cure many people.
If I were a doctor I were to cure many people.

Re: Use of Subjunctive Mood

The first would be correct if it said a doctor. The second is incorrect.

Re: Use of Subjunctive Mood

Actually I read the second sentence structure on net'I were to cure many people' as the advanced english grammar link in Google search.

shahjehansoomro, I have changed your thread title.

Extract from the Posting Guidelines:

'I were to cure many people'
may well have a place in another context, but it doesn't work in your sentence.

You need a comma between the two clauses.

You can use If I were to in the if-clause, but you have used it in the second part.

Yes I had forgotten a password for my first account therefore I made another account.

Re: Use of Subjunctive Mood

You can use If I were to in the if-clause, but you have used it in the second part.

For example:

If I were to cure many people, I would earn a lot.
