Are the following sentences correct and they have same grammatical meaning?

If I were a doctor I would cure many people.
If I were a doctor I were to cure many people.

The first would be correct if it said a doctor. The second is incorrect.

You can use If I were to in the if-clause, but you have used it in the second part.

For example:

If I were to cure many people, I would earn a lot.
