Hi,

is it "a worldwide institution" or "a world-wide institution"? Or both cases are correct?

Question:
Is it "a worldwide institution" or "a world-wide institution"? Or are both phrases correct?
Answer:
Both are, I think, acceptable, but I think worldwide is preferable.

Hyphenation may have been an intermediate step in the combining of these two words, but the hyphen has disappeared.
