Hello!

Can you tell me if the following sentence is correct, please?:

Thank you for your help

The sentence is grammatically correct, but it's a strange thing to ask a student to do.

The longer the sentence, the harder it is for the reader to understand it.

Thank you Rover.

What about this one? :

The objective is to make as long a sentence as possible. "

Thanks a lot

Yes, that's OK - probably more correct but less commonly used than the previous one.

We know what the objective is; what's the point of making a sentence as long as possible?

Theoretically there's no limit.

Maybe the exact sentence isn't the point, and that Will just wants templates for: "The objective is to make X as Y as possible. The objective is to make as Y an X as possible."

The goal is to make your wife as happy as possible. ;-)
The object is to make this cake as chocolately as possible. (I may have made that word up.)
The goal is to make this dish as good for you as possible while still tasting delicious.

(Some more laudable goals than long sentences, presented for your consideration.)
