Hi,

What's the difference between the two sentences?

1. Do you speak up if your point of view differs from that of your superiors.

2. Do you speak up if your point of view differs from your superiors.

Sentence 1 is fine.

Sentence 2 would be acceptable if you put "superiors' " (You would need the apostrophe to show that you mean "your superiors' point of view" whereas that is stated in Sentence 1 with "that of...!)
