The French philosopher and mathematician Blaise Pascal is famous for saying, "The heart has its reasons that reason cannot know."

The above red-colored clause is correct grammatically ?

I love Pascal.... he is responsible for the concept of finesse, a form of thinking that relies on intuitive induction from a thousand experiences and memories, rather than a bit of deduction based on two to three facts.

:up: This makes it easier to understand. It's a play on two meanings of reason - 'reason for doing something' and 'mental faculty'. I'm not sure where the popular translation gets the 'cannot': La coeur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît point - says nothing about what reason is capable of; it just knows nothing at all, period (point!)
