Hello.

How do you pronounce 1600s and 500s? From the book ''Reading Challenge'' by Casey Malarcher.

''Many people think the English found out about curry from people in India inthe 1600s''.

''The Persians were eating round, flat bread with cheese in the 500s''.
 
"Sixteen hundreds"

"Five hundreds," though it sounds odd and requires context. You could say "6th century."
