Hi teachers,
It is a doctor who speaks. This is the text.
'I'm sorry,' I said. 'But I would like to see him now. I have no time tomorrow - I have a lot of work to do.'

Could the question be a more challenging one?
Why couldn’t the doctor see the Elephant Man the day after?
Because he had no time and a lot of work to do.

Thanks in advance.

Why did the doctor have to see him immediately instead of the next day?

You can keep yours, but say "the next day" instead of "the day after."

Hi,
Thank you for your reply and advice. It's incredible the way you teachers change a question in a couple of seconds. Is it magic? ;-)

It's the benefit of being able to think in our native language. I can't get beyond "hello" and "thank you" in yours.

Hi,
Let me teach you another one:
In response to 'thank you', you can say, 'de nada'.
Now I feel much better. For once I have contributed in this forum.:-D
