Hi there,
When taken as a single word. the word "apart" has basically two meanings, i.e. "separately(adv), except(adv), separated(adv)". Let me give you examples of those meanings.
I usually sit with girls a bit apart.(separately)
Apart from the ticket you cannot enter the theater.(except)
But I am unable to use it when it comes to an adjective. I have tried though. "I had left my home since my childhood. I am apart so I always feel like calling my Mom" Is it correct?
