I don't understand what "Ingratitude is relieved with grateful mind" means. Could you explain?

5-5Which best fits in the underlined? A teacher guiding students spotted some squirrels as she ushered her students through a campus tour. She noticed the young squirrels were not in their nest and a crow was eyeing one that appeared to have been left behind. The teacher first tried to shoo the crow away from the squirrels and then to draw the mother's attention to the danger. The mother squirrel instead turned on the teacher. She jumped down a tree like a parachute and then followed behind the teacher, wagging her bushy tail as if she tried to pay back true gratitude. The teacher stretched her right hand to stroke the squirrel's back softly in return for the response. However, contrary to her belief, the animal's pose was hostile enough to bite her fingers and ankle. Fortunately, the teacher was able to escape. Since then, she has regrettably remembered that " ".

① Pleasure follows pain
② Once bitten, twice shy
③ Trust is the mother of deceit
④ Killing two birds with one stone
⑤ Ingratitude is relieved with grateful mind

5 is not grammatical and illogical.
The only one that makes sense is 2.

You mean all these are made-up ones by a Korean, not English proverbs or sayings? This is a Korean high school midterm question.
I've heard of 4, it makes sense, but 1,3,5 I've never heard of.

The real conclusion is "Never put yourself in a position where you are between a mother and her young."

Please let me know if 1,3,5 are all made-up ones. I think 3 exists in English and it also seems to make sense as the squirrel betrayed the mother.

I haven't heard 3 or 5. None of them fits for me.
And the whole passage doesn't sound like natural English.

2 and 4 are familiar.

The others are not.
