Hi guys,

Please check this sentence. "I was doing side dumbells at the gym today, when suddenly I lost hold of the dumbell. we have to do back and forth movement with 1 dumbell in 1 hand in this exercise so, when dumbell got released of my hand or when it got dropped, it went backwards and broke glass" .

"doing" may be acceptable in common speech but you should try to be more exact.
I was lifting dumbbells at the gym today, when suddenly I lost hold of the dumbbell. We have to do a back and forth movement with a dumbbell in one hand in this exercise so, when the dumbbell fell out of my hand, or when it got dropped, it went backwards and broke some glass"
