He is "one of the nation's best players/ one of the best players of the nation".

This is not my homework.

Kindly tell me if "He is
one of the nation's best players." is correct if I want to convey that some person is one of the very profound players of his nation.

However I think that it is not grammatically suitable as in this sentence there is wrong placement of antecedent and here "one of" specifies nation instead of the player.

Thanks in advance.

The placement of the apostrophe tells you which meaning is accurate.

One of the nation's best players - one of the best players from that nation.
One of the nations' best players - the best player from one of the [previously mentioned or yet-to-be mentioned] nations.

I wouldn't use one of the best players of the nation. I would use the forms Emsr2d2 suggested, though I would use country instead of nation in most contexts.
