Hello all.
Please, could you tell me whether I could use "will" in the following kind of sentence?


Original example:
Today I am not going to listen to any advice that she gives me.

And this is how I would tend to say it:
Today I am not going to listen to any advice( that) she will give me.

The second one feels grammatically incorrect but I'm not sure why, maybe because you have two future forms in the sentence when only one is needed.

Anyway, first one sounds much better.

Only the first is natural. Even though the action is in the future, English uses the present tense in this kind of phrase.

It would be the same if the first part were in the future tense: I won't listen to any advice she gives me.

Would the following sentence be incorrect if used the WILL in the first part as well?

- "The scientist who WILL invent the fastest robotic machine will win the prize.

That's incorrect.
"The scientist who [STRIKE]WILL [/STRIKE]invents the fastest robotic machine will win the prize.
We don't know who will invent the fastest robot until that person has invented it.
