Hi,

What is the rule that uncountable nouns like light take a singular form? I saw this in lyrics by Mcfly.

Shine a light on her
Shine a light on her
Shine a light on her
If anybody sees her

Thanks.

p/s: Is there any website that shed more light on this?

"Light" can also be a countable noun when it refers to a piece of lighting equipment.
