I prefer Lynne Truss's phraseology: I am a grammar "sticker". And, like Truss, I have a "zero tolerance" approach to grammar mistakes that make people look stupid.

What does "approach" mean in the context? Thanks!
 
It means "method"
 
I think you meant "stickler" instead of "sticker".

Yes, I agree. But taking a zero tolerance attitude (or adopting some other mental stance) is not likely to do much unless you act on it, which then makes it a method.
