Hi, folks! To make it short: is this sentence possible: "Armstrong attended Purdue University and achieved a degree in Aeronautical Engineering."?

The other options were gained, won and received. Received is listed as the correct answer, but is it the only one?

Thanks!

"Obtained a degree" is more common than "achieved/received a degree".

Thank you.

They didn't even "bother" to put it in the task. Do you think that both receive and achieve should be accepted?

I think you "earn" a degree.

You can also complete a degree. But, for me, 'achieved' is acceptable.

My preference is for 'gained' a degree.

Not my favorite choice, but "received" works.
